Dear Friends in Christ,
On behalf of St. Mary’s Syro-Malabar Catholic Community, I would like to extend a warm welcome to you. As you browse these pages, I hope they will give you a glimpse of what our faith community is all about. I thank personally to all those who are actively and tirelessly working behind to bring forth this site a reality. Through the intercession of our heavenly patroness, Blessed Virgin Mary, all those who are reaching this site may experience the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Good Shepherd in their life.
This is an exciting time in the life of the St. Mary’s sprouting Parish community! We have seen our community evolve over the years through the work of extraordinary members to become a vibrant Catholic community that welcomes all and reaches out to our neighbors to do God’s work. The enthusiastic commitment of our parishioners has led to the formation of various “Christ witnessing” activities over the past few years, allowing the Gospel message to be put into action. We are proud to be a part of continuing the Kerala Catholic Tradition (Syro-Malabar Catholic Tradition) of building a community that will serve us, our children and grandchildren for years to come.

When we accept God’s gifts of time, talent, and treasure, we also accept the responsibility to use these gifts in responding to God’s call. We, as good stewards, may express our joy and gratitude by giving back generously our time, talent and treasure for the greater glory of God.

Please pray that God’s wisdom will guide the members of our flourishing community as we work for the realization of our dreams and plans. Also pray that the Holy Spirit will open our hearts and show us the part He wants us to play in this important effort as we continue to share and celebrate Christ’s abiding presence in our believing community. Be inspired by His call to excel in good works through example and service, and to enter into the grace of stewardship and share your love as God has shared with you.

Our community is growing and evolving and there are needs to be met and there are tremendous challenges ahead of us to be faced. Let us trust in the providence of God and overcome all the doubts and fears. Let us go forward with deep faith, hope and courage. Let us work together as one family of God. Let us march together under the banner of Christ. Let us proudly present our identity of faith in Christ as One Believing Catholic Community.
May the Lord bless each of you with joy and peace, and may he keep our faith community always in his love and care.
Sincerely in Christ,
Fr. Baiju Avittappally, MS
